Monoprinting

I really liked this workshop, I had already done screenprinting in the year before and really liked the way I could create quick prints which were as good as screenprinting but with less of the hassle..
I also thought about using this process or screenprinting for the wrap around poster.

Some monoprints I did at home, I used acrylics mixed with water and flour to make it sticky enough..

London Final Project Starting Point

Once I got the brief I started off with taking images of anything in London i thought was interesting that I could Perhaps develop into some sort of theme for the project that my book could have. I took images of my journey from sutton to elephant and castle. After wandering around the whole of South and North London, I noticed the clash of cultures in certain areas and how quickly it changes and used this as a starting point for the book.

Nicholas Di Genova

20,000 ButterfliesI like his work and it inspired me to do the collage poster the way I did, with the colours and balance he uses through his pieces of artwork. I tried to reflect the same sort of style from this piece into my own collage. His work does vary a fair bit, coming from influences of anime, comic books, Otaku culture, and animal compendiums. But this specific piece drew me in with it's simplicity, and clever use of drawing techniques.

Cool Chair

This piece of product design shows how materials can be used to adapt to any situation when trying to be seated, and it's just a really clever invention..
