I saw this album cover a long while ago, and just remembered how it had such a big impact when it came out. The Portishead album cover is simplistic and plays on the old existing 'P' brand of the band to make this minimalist cover. The layered text has a lovely transparency to it, and the subtle texture and rough painted lines give a nice hand made touch.
